Responsibilities

As a Senior Accountant, you'll be responsible for a variety of tasks including:

• Overseeing all accounting functions for the assigned entities, including billing, general ledger, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue recognition, tax filings, and special analyses.
• Maintaining balance sheet accounts with detailed general ledger reconciliations.
• Financial reporting and analytical commentary, supporting the consolidation and monthly group reporting.
• Running annual financial statements and audits, as well as preparing VAT, sales tax, and GST returns.
• Working alongside the Leadership Team to manage tax matters and international billing, while dealing with intercompany transactions.
• Collaborating with external accountants, tax advisors, and auditors.
• Supervision and optimization of accounting principles and practices.

Position Requirements

Candidates applying for the Senior Accountant role should possess:

• A Bachelor’s degree in accountancy or a similar field.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with NetSuite and at least 5 years of experience working as an accountant.
• Proven experience with multi-GAAP accounting, particularly with legal entities that report under different jurisdictions (for example, a German subsidiary under US GAAP).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with independent and structured working abilities.
• Experience with tools like Stripe or Chargebee for billing and revenue recognition.
• Strong communication skills in English, which is essential for the role, especially in managing relationships with various stakeholders.
• AI literacy and familiarity with using AI tools to enhance accounting tasks.
