LeadUp AI is actively seeking a Full-Stack Developer (Junior) to join their team. The role is designed for someone who is enthusiastic about building user-facing applications and can thrive in a fast-paced environment. As a remote opportunity, this position allows you to work from anywhere in the world.
In this role, the majority of your work will involve developing the user-facing application based on detailed specifications and following established patterns set by senior developers.
The position is distinguished from typical junior roles; instead of being part of a larger engineering team focused on minutiae for extended periods, you will work closely with experienced hands-on builders. The development team includes a senior developer and the CTO, who will directly mentor you. You will be given significant responsibilities, and your code will be implemented for real users quickly, moving towards pilot clients within months.
You will be engaged in:
Building the complete user-facing web application, including dashboards, reports, settings, and onboarding processes.
Developing admin views to manage users, configurations, and aggregate data.
Implementing supporting systems that include notifications, emails, and data exports.
Writing tests to cover defined error scenarios.
Collaborating on database schema design with senior developers and the CTO.
Maintaining daily synchronization with the senior developer and participating in pull request (PR) reviews for every merge.
The ideal candidate should have:
1-3 years of professional development experience. This can include internships or freelance work.
Proficiency in React (or Next.js) for frontend development and Python for backend development. Familiarity with FastAPI is a significant advantage.
Basic understanding of PostgreSQL, including the ability to write queries and an understanding of database joins.
Experience using AI coding tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot as part of daily workflow.
The ability to read specifications and ship features with minimal supervision.
A flexible attitude regarding changing priorities and the initiative to ask questions for clarification instead of guessing.
Solid written and spoken English skills are essential for effective communication.
Additionally, while not required, the following skills could give you an edge in the selection process:
Familiarity with FastAPI for backend development.
Knowledge of Tailwind CSS and responsive design.
Understanding of authentication flows such as OAuth and JWT.
Experience with dashboard or report-style interfaces.
A portfolio or GitHub showcasing end-to-end projects to demonstrate your abilities.
LeadUp AI offers a unique opportunity to build user-oriented applications without ambiguity regarding project specifications. You will contribute to high-quality and speed in your work. Here are more reasons to consider:
You will not have to guess what to build—there will be a detailed specification in place.
Direct mentorship and learning opportunities from experienced developers and a hands-on CTO.
Your work will reach users quickly, gathering real feedback and insights for improvement.
This position allows you to be involved at the ground level as the product is being developed, which adds value to your experience and involvement.
The hiring process involves:
Application Review: The first step is an evaluation of your application by the HR team.
Technical Conversation: If shortlisted, you’ll have a technical discussion with the CTO to assess your skills.
Offer: If the conversation goes well, an offer will be promptly extended.
LeadUp AI emphasizes the importance of moving fast in the hiring process, aimed at quickly integrating a talented developer into their team.
If you’re looking to elevate your career as a Full-Stack Developer and thrive in an engaging fast-paced remote environment, this opportunity with LeadUp AI is worth considering. The combination of hands-on mentorship, opportunities for direct impact with clear specifications, and a commitment to shipping quality code makes this role attractive for aspiring developers eager to make their mark.
