Wing is actively seeking an Aviation Training & Operations Readiness Lead to join its Flight Operations team in a remote position based in the United States. This critical leadership role is designed for motivated and forward-thinking individuals ready to contribute as Wing undergoes rapid, large-scale growth. The selected candidate will report to the Head of Global Flight Ops, Standards, and Regulatory Affairs, and will lead a multidisciplinary team involved in operational evaluation and training within aviation.
In this position, the candidate will be responsible for creating and refining operational procedures and standards, ensuring they are validated through thorough evaluations. This role also involves collaboration with Chief Pilots worldwide to uphold flight standards and oversee the creation of impactful training content. Highlights of what this role will require include leading initiatives aimed at transitioning to Part 108 future operations and facilitating the implementation of systems that enhance automation in the delivery process.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to evaluate new technologies, capabilities, and procedures for operational readiness.
Regular interaction with flight operations leadership globally to ensure that training aligns with both current and future needs of the commercial operations.
Provide strategic oversight to aviation training and operational evaluation teams for continuous improvement in efficiency and quality.
Partner with regional Chief Pilots to standardize global flight operations while accommodating local regulatory nuances.
Develop a data-driven feedback loop to integrate operational evaluations with training content, facilitating rapid iterations as technology advances.
Drive operational readiness toward future Part 108 implementation and increased system automation, thereby expanding delivery capabilities.
Oversee the creation of impactful training materials, adapting to fast-paced changes in systems, operations, and regulations.
Mentor and lead a multidisciplinary team focusing on aviation training and operational evaluations.
Possession of a Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate.
At least 12 years of experience in aviation training, operations, or flight testing.
A minimum of 5 years building and mentoring high-performing teams within aviation.
Proven experience in leading programs that deploy new technologies and procedures in aviation operations.
A bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience is required.
A Commercial Pilot Certificate and status as a Certified Flight Instructor are highly desirable qualifications.
The salary range for this full-time position at Wing is between $156,000 and $205,000 USD, which is complemented by additional benefits such as bonus opportunities and equity.
