Job Role

The Associate Director of Strategy is responsible for developing strategic plans for account management across various segments. This role is primarily customer- and prospect-facing, requiring individuals to understand stakeholder needs and provide effective solutions aimed at ensuring customer success. Responsibilities include spearheading sales and retention strategies, providing thought leadership, supporting sales teams, and facilitating discussions with senior-level prospects and customers. This role requires frequent travel as part of its requirements.

Required Skills

• Consulting and Leadership Skills: Candidates must showcase a strong background in strategy or management consulting.
• Experience: Approximately 10 years of work experience is ideal, with at least 5 years in a top Strategy/Management Consulting firm, preferably within the Life Sciences domain. Positions such as Associate Partner/Principal are preferred.
• Business Development: A minimum of 2 years of experience with demonstrable success in handling business development.
• Autonomy: The role demands self-sufficiency and the ability to work independently.
• International Exposure: Candidates should have experience living and working in diverse international settings.
• Language Proficiency: Native-level fluency in English is required, alongside proficiency in one of the following languages: German, French, Danish, or Dutch.

Nice to Have

The ideal candidate would also benefit from:

• Over 3 years of experience working within Contract Research Organizations (CROs).
• Extensive knowledge of clinical operations processes.
• Previous experience in selling or implementing SaaS solutions.
• Familiarity with Veeva products is considered an advantage.
• Evidence of industry presentations or publications showcasing expertise.
• Strong project management skills are also desirable for success in this position.
