Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership and Development:

• Lead a remote team of technical writers located across the US and Europe.

• Establish team goals, prioritize tasks, and manage resources effectively to meet deadlines.

• Promote a culture of high performance and collaboration through mentoring, feedback, and professional development.

Content Strategy and Roadmap:

• Define and steer the strategic direction for learning and knowledge content across multiple platforms such as the web and in-product channels.

• Collaborate with product leadership to ensure the documentation aligns with product launches and customer expectations.

• Regularly assess and enhance the quality and effectiveness of documents, implementing user feedback and analytics into content revisions.

• Maintain documentation standards, style guides, and templates to ensure uniformity and clarity across all materials.

• Utilize tools for content management, version control, and localization.

Required Qualifications

Education

A Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field is mandatory; a Master's degree is preferred.

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in technical writing or product documentation.
• 3+ years in a management position overseeing technical writers.
• Familiarity with SaaS technology solutions is essential.
• Experience in the data science or AI sectors is a plus.

Skills

• Exceptional writing, editing, and communication abilities.
• Aptitude for explaining complex technical concepts to diverse audiences in an understandable manner.
• Strong project management skills, with the capability of handling various tasks in a fast-paced environment using tools like Jira or Shortcut.
• Knowledge of the docs-as-code approach, proficient in tools such as git for version control, and experience using Python for automation and documentation generation.

Compensation and Benefits
