Position Description

Aii is currently seeking a Sustainability Reporting Coordinator, a crucial role that will contribute to the organization’s internal and external sustainability reporting needs. The role will report directly to the Director of Sustainability Reporting and will require close collaboration to ensure smooth operations and the effective execution of various sustainability projects.

Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities for the Sustainability Reporting Coordinator include:

• Supporting internal and external impact reporting needs, including quarterly board meetings and annual reports to funding partners through research, data analysis, and report writing.
• Assisting with the assurance process of annual impact reports by compiling relevant materials and conducting necessary research.
• Contributing to the deployment phase of Aii’s new carbon and energy performance benchmark tool by establishing an operational framework for its use, monitoring its performance, and gathering user feedback for improvements.
• Leading efforts among industry stakeholders to align impact reporting metrics and standards, especially in conjunction with the Apparel Alliance.
• Staying updated on industry best practices and regulatory requirements, providing competitor research to aid in recommending reporting strategies.
• Undertaking various ad hoc projects and additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

The ideal candidate for the Sustainability Reporting Coordinator role will have:

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a sustainability-related role.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Sustainability or Environmental Studies.
• Expertise in written and verbal communication, strong analytical skills, and a collaborative team spirit.
• Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple deadlines.
• A comfort level with complexity and ambiguity in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• Preferred experience with impact reporting, ESG compliance, and a background in environmental sustainability or knowledge of the fashion industry.
