The SRE will be responsible for a variety of critical tasks including:
Designing, building, maintaining, and scaling production services and server farms across multiple data centers for complex, data-intensive cloud services.
Enhancing software architecture to improve factors such as scalability, reliability, capacity, and performance.
Writing automation code for provisioning and operating infrastructure on a large scale.
Collaborating with development teams to ensure seamless integration of applications within infrastructure, focusing on scalability and reliability from inception.
Engaging in incident troubleshooting, conducting postmortem reviews, and drafting remediation recommendations to improve future operations.
Proactively identifying performance bottlenecks and potential issues, responding to automated system alerts, and assisting in resolving system errors to restore normal operations.
Documenting all relevant specifications, systems, and procedures to support ongoing operations and compliance efforts.
The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science or a related field.
Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
Familiarity with managing clusters through Kubernetes.
Experience with cloud services like Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud.
Knowledge in service design patterns including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) methodologies.
Scripting proficiency in languages such as PowerShell or other high-level programming languages like Python, Java, C/C++, Ruby, or JavaScript.
Experience with distributed storage technologies like NFS, HDFS, Ceph, and Amazon S3, as well as frameworks for resource management like Apache Mesos, Kubernetes, and Yarn.
A proactive attitude towards problem-solving, performance enhancement, and operational improvements.
