Overview

ActiveCampaign is seeking a Senior Content Marketing Manager whose primary role will be to develop content that drives business success throughout the entire customer lifecycle. In this role, you will engage in creating various forms of content, such as original research, white papers, webinars, and landing pages, aimed at enhancing customer acquisition and retention, as well as acquiring customers for new product offerings.

Position Responsibilities

As a Senior Content Marketing Manager, your daily tasks will be multifaceted and will include:

  • Creating original content that spans multiple formats, including thought leadership articles, blogs, long-form assets, email messaging, and more.
  • Collaborating with outside agencies and freelancers to scale up content production, improve organic traffic, and enhance multimedia content.
  • Crafting content tailored specifically to target audience segments and different stages of the buyer’s journey, as well as for broader audiences.
  • Editing, proofreading, and refining content produced by others to enhance clarity and effectiveness.
  • Working closely with various stakeholders across Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Product teams, ensuring content meets high-quality standards and aligns with growth objectives.
  • Contributing to organic growth strategies and SEO initiatives to increase relevant web traffic.
  • Brainstorming fresh ideas and coordinating with the Content Marketing team to develop an editorial calendar.

Required Skills

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

  • At least 8 years of marketing experience, with a minimum of 5 years focused on content marketing, ideally in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with SEO practices is preferred.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to transform concepts into compelling narratives and clear, engaging copy.
  • A passion for storytelling and aligning content with different stages of the purchasing process in an engaging manner.
  • The ability to connect data with storytelling, successfully transforming quantitative insights into appealing content.
  • An aptitude for articulating visual requirements and collaborating with visual storytellers, such as photo editors and graphic designers, to create impactful content.
  • Proficiency in maintaining and applying verbal tone and voice standards across all produced content.
  • A self-motivated individual with outstanding organizational and time management skills capable of overseeing projects from inception to completion.
  • Experience with tools like Craft CMS, Adobe Analytics, Asana, among other content marketing-related systems would be advantageous.

Compensation

The salary for the Senior Content Marketing Manager position ranges from $132,000 to $181,500 annually. It's essential to note that this figure represents the base rate and does not include potential bonuses, equity, sales incentives, or any other role-specific compensation that may be applicable.
