The responsibilities of a Senior Travel Product Executive are wide-ranging and critical for the company’s success in the luxury travel market.
In this role, you'll be involved in curating and developing a compelling product portfolio across the company’s key luxury destinations. You will support Senior Product Managers in negotiating and managing supplier contracts, ensuring the terms are competitive and advantageous. Keeping a close eye on competitor activity, pricing, and market trends will inform the company's product strategy. You will collaborate with the Commercial team to ensure the products remain profitable and viable.
You will maintain robust relationships with various suppliers, including hotels, airlines, and ground service partners. This involves assisting in the contracting process and ensuring that suppliers provide accurate pricing and availability details.
The role also requires collaboration with the Marketing and Sales teams to effectively promote products. This will include creating engaging product descriptions and marketing materials. You will provide insights regarding product developments and market trends to aid the Sales team as well.
In terms of operational duties, the role involves ensuring that product information is accurately entered into internal systems and reflects live pricing. You will analyze booking data and performance reports to provide recommendations for product optimization. This position is integral to resolving product-related queries from both internal teams and external partners.
To be considered for this role, the following essential skills and qualifications are required:
Experience in a Product, Commercial, or Contracting role within the travel industry.
A strong understanding of the global luxury and long-haul travel market.
Proven experience in the 4-star and luxury 5-star travel market, along with first-hand industry knowledge.
Excellent analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Strong communication and negotiation skills necessary for building lasting supplier relationships.
A proactive and detail-oriented mindset capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proficiency in CRM systems and reporting tools, as well as familiarity with a GDS (Global Distribution Systems) for sourcing competitive travel packages.
