This role is designed for individuals experienced in the full recruiting cycle with the ability to identify and attract talent from diverse backgrounds to match the company’s evolving needs. During this transition phase, you will also have a crucial say in formulating an efficient recruiting process and fostering a healthy recruitment culture as the company scales.

Responsibilities

Required Skills

Candidates looking to apply for the role should have:

  • A passion for establishing a talent function from the ground up, with the potential to lead in the future.
  • Comfort with the entire recruiting cycle from sourcing through to closing candidates.
  • Creativity in sourcing talent and an eagerness in pursuing a rigorous recruitment process.

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a well-organized recruiting pipeline.
  • Ability to adjust to fast-paced work environments and proactively identify areas for improvement.
  • Familiarity with technology tools to optimize recruitment efforts, particularly suitable for early-stage companies.
  • Analytical mindset to leverage data for tracking progress and identifying potential issues.
  • A deep commitment to providing an exceptional candidate experience.
  • An understanding of talent assessment beyond simple resume matching and an ability to attract candidates with seniority.
  • Excellent storytelling skills to resonate AirGarage's mission effectively with candidates.

Challenges and Considerations

It is important for prospective applicants to consider their fit for this dynamic position. Being the initial recruiter in a startup environment implies a high level of accountability where your success directly impacts the company's growth.
The role demands a strong work ethic, as long hours, including evenings and weekends, may be required due to the ambitious nature of AirGarage's growth strategies.
Also, comfort in taking initiative is crucial, as processes may not be formally established; hence, the ability to design your own practices is essential. You may find yourself engaged in every aspect of the hiring process, managing the assorted responsibilities related to human resources and people management beyond recruiting.
Enthusiasm for talent acquisition and a relentless desire to discover exceptional team members will keep you motivated and satisfied in this role, making it an exciting challenge rather than just a position for you.
