Veeva is seeking skilled Senior Quality Engineers to contribute to the success of its product, Veeva Vault, a rapidly advancing SaaS platform within the life sciences sector that encompasses pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and medical devices. As part of the Quality Assurance and Release Engineering team, you will:
Create comprehensive testing-related documentation including test plans, cases/scripts, and bug reports to assess quality and associated risk.
Automate processes and collaborate with the automation group to improve regression coverage.
Conduct QA tests, assuring outcomes align with established schedules and timelines.
Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, and fellow QA testers in an Agile team environment.
Offer technical leadership to junior team members, aiding their professional growth and achieving team goals.
Engage in architecture-level discussions to ensure quality is built into the product from the ground up.
To qualify for the position of Senior Quality Engineer, candidates should meet the following criteria:
A Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or a similar field.
Proficiency in Java and/or mobile programming languages and an understanding of software QA methodologies.
Demonstrated experience in writing and automating test cases covering both sanity and in-depth testing.
Relevant professional experience in software development and/or test automation.
Strong communication skills with demonstrated ability to lead and mentor peers.
While not mandatory, the following qualifications are advantageous:
Proficiency in additional programming languages like Python or experience using Cypress.
Familiarity with SQL and Atlassian products such as Jira and Confluence.
Experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g., Cucumber, Selenium).
Prior experience in a SaaS environment adopting an Agile development process.
Background in the Health Sciences and Life Sciences industries.
The base salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $165,000 CAD. This range has been provided to comply with local regulations and reflects compensation based on an assessment of the candidate’s unique qualifications, experience, and potential contributions to the company.
