To qualify for the Senior Quality Engineer role, candidates must have:
A Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science/Applications, or a relevant field.
Previous experience coding in Java and/or other mobile languages and sound knowledge of Software QA methodologies.
Proficiency in writing test cases and automating them, which includes various levels of testing like sanity, boundary, negative, compatibility, and concurrency.
Relevant work experience in software development and/or software test automation, curiosity, and a quick aptitude for learning new technologies.
Essential skills also include strong verbal and written communication abilities, alongside demonstrated leadership or mentorship qualities to facilitate career advancement.
The following skills are considered advantages but not mandatory:
Familiarity with programming languages such as Java and Python, and experience with Cypress and SQL.
Knowledge of tools such as Jira and Confluence, along with the capacity to author automated tests in standard functional test automation frameworks like Cucumber/Selenium/TestNg.
Experience in SaaS environments with agile development processes and a background in the health and life sciences industry.
The salary range for the Senior Quality Engineer position is between $90,000 to $165,000 CAD. This range is presented to comply with local regulations and may vary depending on the candidate's qualifications and experience.
