Damicor is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Planner to join their team at Heathrow Airport, specifically in Hounslow, Greater London. The main responsibilities of the Senior Project Planner include:
Translating the project scope into a comprehensive overall project plan with minimal input, ensuring clarity in decision-making timelines.
Identifying critical paths and related opportunities and risks within the project plan.
Coordinating with customers, subcontractors, and key stakeholders to produce an integrated project plan.
Reporting on project progress while providing insights and advice on overall project plans.
Maintaining effective communication and alignment with various internal and external parties involved in the project.
Leading the preparation of complex project plans in consultation with team members and external parties while mentoring junior team members.
Managing the execution of multiple complex projects and developing programs from inception to execution.
Candidates are expected to bring a wealth of experience and specialized skills to the position:
7+ years of experience in planning, with a minimum of 3 years in a senior role.
High-level proficiency in Primavera P6 is essential for this role.
Strong communication skills are necessary for liaising effectively with stakeholders at all levels involved in project execution.
Candidates must demonstrate their ability to lead complex project planning functions and deliver under pressure.
Advanced skills in Excel and a solid understanding of technical planning techniques including critical path analysis, cost loading, and the NEC process are mandatory.
Experience should cover the entire project lifecycle, from tendering to project completion. Experience in aviation or baggage handling is advantageous but not a requisite requirement.
Experience in delivering integration across projects provides an additional edge in the selection process.
