Job Role Overview

The position available is for a Senior Migration Architect, which is a key role within Veeva Systems’ Professional Services group. The architect will be instrumental in providing migration solutions as part of project teams implementing Veeva Vault R&D applications and the Vault Platform cloud solutions tailored for life sciences companies.

In this role, the Senior Migration Architect will lead the customer migration implementations, leveraging expertise with data and document content migration, Vault API, migration tools, and best practices related to the Vault Platform.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Migration Architect will focus on:

• Providing subject matter expertise on Vault R&D migration implementations.
• Advising clients on the extract, transform, and load (ETL) processes connected with data migration.
• Mentoring Veeva Data Migration Specialists and guiding them on migration best practices.
• Contributing knowledge to build a migration program within the Professional Services knowledge base.
• Offering guidance and expertise on the development of migration tools for the ETL process.
• Assisting in project scoping estimates for the Vault R&D product suite.

Required Skills

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet certain qualifications, which include:

• 7+ years of experience in document/content migration with enterprise content management systems such as Documentum, OpenText, Box, SharePoint, etc.
• 7+ years of experience with database migration linked to major enterprise software systems like SAP, Salesforce.com, PeopleSoft, Oracle, etc.
• 7+ years of customer-facing technical consulting experience with a proven track record of engaging with senior management and executives as a subject matter expert.
• Leadership experience in mentoring and guiding team members.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, and XML.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.
• Candidates should reside in the U.S. or Canada and should be legally authorized to work in these countries.
