Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Trainee Sales Manager are pivotal in managing the sales teams effectively. This includes setting clear objectives, conducting professional development reviews, coaching, and ensuring employees achieve their full potential while meeting company targets. Key duties involve:

  • Overseeing all communication and administration linked to sales transactions, including collaborating with Solicitors, Estate Agents, and Financial Institutions to ensure necessary documentation is provided.

  • Monitoring and maintaining the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to assess the progress of the sales advisor team in meeting set monetary and volume targets.

  • Managing customer sales complaints and ensuring customer satisfaction.

  • Working cohesively with other company departments such as Construction, Commercial, and Legal to achieve compliance and timely updates regarding plot progress.

  • Advocating for and enforcing Health, Safety, and Environment Policies among the team to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate for this position will be someone who champions a 5-star sales and customer care journey. They should possess:

  • Experience working in a sales role for a residential developer or an estate agency.


  • Familiarity with fast-paced work environments, which is critical for success in this position.

  • Experience in the housing or construction industry is preferred but not essential.

  • The capability to remain calm and focused in pressured situations with strong problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent telephone etiquette and communication skills, both verbal and written, alongside great listening skills to understand customer requirements.

  • A proactive attitude with the ability to take initiative and a flexible approach to duties.

  • Competence in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. Knowledge in the new home environment would be an advantage, though not required.
