Job Position

The position available is for a Staff Product Engineer, and candidates will own the full product lifecycle, from concept to end-of-life. A primary focus is to ensure that the highest quality products are delivered to end customers. Responsibilities include defining ATE test, qualification and manufacturing plans, managing product release into manufacturing while adhering to stringent tier 1 customer requirements, and providing real-time customer support for design, product, and quality-related issues.

Key Responsibilities

The role includes the following responsibilities:

  • Full PE product lifecycle ownership from concept to end of life, ensuring quality delivery.
  • Define ATE test, qualification, and manufacturing plans.
  • Manage product release into manufacturing, maintaining adherence to tier 1 customer requirements.
  • Prepare datasheets and automotive compliance reports.
  • Offer real-time customer support concerning design, product, and quality.
  • Conduct characterization and production limit setting for temperature, voltage, and processes.
  • Oversee the new product introduction and yield ownership.
  • Maintain and release product Bill of Materials (BOM).
  • Manage excursion issues with both suppliers and customers.
  • Utilize yield improvement tools and monitor yield, generating weekly reports for the PE teams.
  • Strive to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to product deliverables, which include execution velocity, product costs, quality performance, and failure analysis cycle times.
  • Participate in optimizations of PAT, SYL, SBL, and SPC limits to maintain quality while reducing waste.

Required Skills

Candidates must fulfill specific criteria, such as:

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in product engineering, particularly with a solid background in analog circuits. Having familiarity with power management IC testing is advantageous.
  • Experience with ATE tester platforms like Teradyne J750 and Advantest 93K.
  • Knowledge of analog and mixed-signal circuitry, device physics, and test methodologies.
  • Proficient in using common laboratory test equipment, such as DC power supply, oscilloscopes, and multi-meters. Bench characterization experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with JEDEC/AEC qualification standards and stress test conditions, with prior experience in qualified hardware/software development preferred.
  • Experience with yield management tools, particularly PDF Exensio and JMP, is essential, and applicants should exhibit the ability to apply statistical analysis to troubleshoot issues.
  • Strong problem-solving skills are necessary for managing supplier excursions and customer escalations.
  • Knowledge of Semiconductor Failure Analysis is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as being a cooperative team player, are also required.
  • Candidates should be effective in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.

Educational Background
