The position available is for an R&D Herbalist who will be pivotal in developing Apothékary's product line. This is a full-time, remote position with core working hours between 9am - 5pm ET, yet some adaptability in scheduling is permitted.
The R&D Herbalist will be responsible for several key tasks, including:
R&D and Product Formulation: This involves spearheading product development aligned with the company’s business and marketing goals. Utilizing both traditional herbal principles and modern scientific approaches ensures product quality and regulatory compliance.
Quality and Regulatory Compliance: The Herbalist will ensure that product formulations adhere to FDA, FTC, USDA, and DSHEA regulations. They will also help maintain quality control protocols and troubleshoot quality issues.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: The role will necessitate the creation of educational material and collaboration with various internal teams, such as marketing and customer success, to ensure product alignment with market needs.
The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:
Strong organizational, project management, and excellent communication skills are essential. The candidate should work efficiently across varying levels of the organization.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Google Suite is required.
Bonus qualifications include being a registered herbalist with the American Herbalist Guild and prior experience in startup environments.
