Job Role

The company is on the lookout for multiple Principal Software Engineers who are driven, self-motivated, and enthusiastic about tackling technical challenges. Key Responsibilities

• Engage with the latest technologies in the cloud while keeping skills up-to-date.
• Lead, design, implement, and reproduce key product features alongside the team located in Toronto.
• Work collaboratively in a small team setting to drive multiple features toward successful delivery.

Required Skills

Candidates should meet certain criteria to effectively carry out their responsibilities in this role. Here are some of the primary requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in developing commercial software.
• 5+ years of experience with Java, specifically with SpringBoot.
• Proficiency in AWS (Amazon Web Services).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Strong communication abilities.
• A bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science or an equivalent qualification.

Desirable Attributes

The following skills would be considered advantageous but are not mandatory:

• Experience with React or similar frameworks.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes/EKS.
• Familiarity with Python.
• Experience with BigData and AWS Redshift.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for the Principal Software Engineer position ranges from $180,000 to $300,000 CAD. It is important to note that the actual salary offered may depend on the individual’s experience and location, and compensation packages may also include variable bonuses and/or stock options.
