Key Responsibilities

As a NetSec Engineer IV, your responsibilities will include:

• Advising on potential pitfalls customers may face and suggesting automated solutions for improved stability and security.
• Troubleshooting customer network environments, including firewall configurations, VPN technologies, and access control lists.
• Supporting various elements of the Rackspace Cloud product portfolio, especially RackConnect.
• Adhering to company security policies and best practices while building and maintaining multi-cloud infrastructure on platforms like AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI.
• Ensuring secure connectivity and rapid troubleshooting while supporting significant initiatives like the Public Cloud Edge Security Service (PCESS).
• Configuring and troubleshooting Firewalls and Load Balancers as well as performing system administration on Windows and Linux platforms.
• Mentoring junior staff and creating documentation for support and operation tasks.
• Collaborating with other engineers and account managers to foster strong customer relationships.

Requirements

To be considered for the role, you should possess:

• A minimum of eight years of experience as a NetSec Engineer.
• A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
• Relevant certifications, including CCNP/IE and F5.
• Advanced knowledge of customer service management, customer retention strategies, and CRM systems.
• Expertise in AI/Machine Learning, Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, DevOps, and strong Network/Systems skills.

Salary Information

Rackspace is committed to pay transparency and has provided a salary range for potential candidates:

• Colorado: $105,100 - $154,110
• Hawaii and New York (excluding NYC): $111,800 - $164,010
• California, New York City, and Washington: $122,500 - $179,630
