Job Description

Mirantis is actively searching for a Senior DevOps Engineer who will assume a leadership role in the design, implementation, and optimization of customer infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. The ideal candidate should be adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring robust system performance, scalability, and security. Besides creating efficient processes, this role involves mentoring junior team members and driving automation initiatives along with contributing to strategic infrastructure decisions.

Main Responsibilities

The job entails a variety of key responsibilities including:

• Designing and deploying customer infrastructure across multiple cloud providers and bare metal environments.

• Managing Kubernetes clusters for applications that utilize microservices.

• Developing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth software delivery processes.

• Designing, monitoring, and operating different environments including development, staging, and production.

• Facilitating knowledge transfer to customers during deployment projects.

• Collaborating with international teams on technical challenges and improvements.

• Mentoring and helping to grow other DevOps Engineers.

• Contributing to the Mirantis deployment knowledge base.

• Continuously improving tooling and technologies used in operations.

Required Skills and Abilities

Applicants should possess a strong skill set including:

• Proven experience in DevOps engineering.

• Solid background in IT automation.

  

• Familiarity with the Linux OS, storage, and networking.

• Knowledge in microservices architecture and distributed systems.

• Solid understanding of Kubernetes and related tools.

• Hands-on experience in application containerization methods including Docker and Helm.

• Proficient in at least one programming language such as Bash, Groovy, Python, or Go.

Education and Experience
