Job Title and Responsibilities

The position available is for a Manager of Finance Operations. This role is crucial in overseeing the connection between contract execution and financial reporting. The successful candidate will manage the end-to-end flow of data from Salesforce CPQ to NetSuite, ensuring accuracy in billing and the integrity of bookings data. Specifically, the manager will:

  • Manage the transition of data from Deal Desk to Accounts Receivable and Provisioning, ensuring contracts are accurately reflected in NetSuite (ERP) and that data flows correctly into downstream records such as billing and revenue recognition.

  • Act as the primary contact for complex deal escalations, balancing individual contributor responsibilities with team leadership.

  • Drive teams toward successful period-end closes, which may require extended hours, including weekends, especially during month-end and quarter-end cycles.

  • Coordinate, review, and deliver ad-hoc reporting requests from leaders, highlighting the importance of data manipulation and preparation.

  • Collaborate with Sales and Services to rectify any discrepancies relating to billing or bookings, and partner with Business Technology to optimize testing systems.

  • Enforce the company’s Bookings Policy across all lines of business, ensuring accurate financial reporting through regular analysis of product values.

  • Take ownership of managing the ARR data cube, which serves as the company's primary source for product and customer bookings alongside retention rates.

  • Lead a team of 9 individuals globally, setting clear KPIs and maintaining a culture of accountability and professional growth.

Required Skills and Experience

To excel in this position, the candidate must possess:

  • 5-7+ years of experience in Finance Operations or Revenue Operations, with a minimum of 3 years in direct people management.
  • High proficiency in Salesforce CPQ and NetSuite is required, and experience with Certinia (FinancialForce) and Tableau is a plus.
  • Advanced Excel skills to manage complex data structures like ARR cubes are essential.
  • A robust understanding of SaaS contracts, billing cycles, and the quote-to-cash process.
  • The capability to oscillate between high-level strategic thinking and detailed data execution.
  • Strong leadership qualities that enable driving results through others while adhering to high performance standards.
  • Empathy in managing team burnout and a commitment to mentoring and developing talent.
  • Proficiency in translating intricate financial data into straightforward narratives understandable to stakeholders.
