The responsibilities are comprehensive and include the following important tasks:
Planning and Coordination: Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of inventory shipments directed to Amazon fulfillment centers.
Supply Chain Strategy Development: Develop and sustain an efficient supply chain strategy aimed at optimizing costs while ensuring product availability.
Stock Monitoring: Keep a close eye on stock levels, sales trends, and demand forecasts to avert stockouts or overstock situations.
Compliance Management: Ensure compliance with Amazon’s FBA requirements, including aspects like labeling, packaging, and shipment preparation.
Coordination with Stakeholders: Work closely with suppliers, freight forwarders, and warehouse managers for effective inbound shipments.
Data Analysis for Improvements: Analyze logistics data to implement improvements that minimize costs and promote operational efficiency.
Inventory Reconciliation: Manage inventory checks and resolve any discrepancies that arise with Amazon fulfillment centers.
Performance Metrics Tracking: Track key performance indicators such as inventory turnover, order fulfillment rates, and related storage fees.
Stay Informed: Keep up with Amazon FBA policies, fees, and changes in regulations to guarantee ongoing compliance.
Candidates must possess a unique set of skills and experience to be successful in this role, including:
Logistics and Inventory Management Experience: Proven experience in logistics and supply chain management, with a strong background in an Amazon FBA environment critical for success.
Understanding of Amazon Seller Central: A solid understanding of Amazon Seller Central, FBA policies, and inventory management tools is necessary.
Data Analysis Proficiency: High proficiency in data analysis and forecasting capabilities utilizing Excel, Google Sheets, or other relevant software.
Freight Forwarding Knowledge: Familiarity with freight forwarders, third-party logistics (3PL) providers, and global supply chains.
Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional problem-solving capabilities with a proactive approach to resolving operational challenges.
Communication and Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills to effectively manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
While the following are not required, they would be advantageous:
Experience utilizing inventory management software such as ShipStation, ScanPower, 2D workflow, Helium 10, or Shopify.
Knowledge of customs regulations and international shipping methodologies.
Amazon FBA certification or relevant e-commerce logistics training background.
