Position Summary

Essential Responsibilities

The Lead, Accounts Receivable will monitor the Accounts Receivable Team within their assigned region, ensuring effective training and growth for new hires while maintaining ongoing educational opportunities for the team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing all Accounts Receivable activities such as insurance follow-ups and quality assurance.
  • Conducting root cause analyses on denied claims and ensuring resolutions for complex or aged accounts.
  • Participating in team meetings, providing coaching, and actively supporting team members and management.
  • Analyzing aged accounts and generating age analysis for compliance evaluations.
  • Communicating effectively with management about payer and escalated account issues.
  • Meeting established productivity requirements and adhering to organizational benchmarks.

Required Skills

To qualify for this position, candidates must have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of experience in revenue cycle management or accounts receivable is essential.
  • a Medical Billing Certification is preferred, along with familiarity with the Mod Med/EMA practice management system.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and excellent time management abilities.
  • A solid understanding of the fundamental principles of the revenue cycle, accounts receivable management, denial management, and coding (CPT/HCPCS/ICD10).
  • A self-driven attitude and ability to adapt in a dynamically changing work environment.
  • Strong project management skills, capable of multitasking under pressure.
  • A high level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism in handling sensitive medical information.
