Position: Software Developer
Location: 100% Remote (Continental U.S. Only)
Job Type: Full-time
Core Hours: Requires availability during U.S. Central Time core hours of 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

About CAREWare

CAREWare is not just a software platform; it’s a critical tool featuring various components such as:

A custom HTTP service written in Go
A large business tier developed in VB.NET
A Microsoft SQL Server data tier

This platform contains over one million lines of code, facilitating features including federal reporting, custom reporting engines, FHIR integrations, clinical coding, user management, and security controls.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will have the pivotal role of:

Developing and maintaining high-quality software applications

Required Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:

A capability to clear a comprehensive criminal background check
A minimum of 3 to 5 years of professional software development experience in a production environment
Demonstrated ability to design, build, and maintain scalable applications with limited supervision
Strong communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Experience working within Agile frameworks, showcasing effective teamwork
Proven problem-solving abilities
Experience working remotely and managing time effectively
Capacity to collaborate with a diverse team

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with Ryan White or Healthy Start grant programs

Technical Skills

Experience with Go, VB.NET, and maintain large APIs
