As the Interim Financial Controller, you will be tasked with:
Overseeing the monthly financial close process which includes preparing journal entries, conducting balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis.
Reviewing and supervising the work of the accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) specialists to ensure accuracy and timeliness in financial documentation.
Preparing internal financial reports including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Managing VAT filings and payroll journal entries effectively.
Collaborating with the AR specialist and customer-facing teams to manage and automate the AR processes further.
Working on improving the financial processes and maintaining adequate documentation.
To thrive in this role, candidates should possess:
A minimum of 4 years’ experience in financial controlling, ideally within a Software as a Service (SaaS) or a scaling startup environment.
A solid grasp of Dutch GAAP regulations and VAT compliance.
Strong working knowledge of Exact Online; experience with Chargebee is considered a plus.
Proficiency in Google Sheets connected to BigQuery, and the ability to build and interpret pivot tables.
Highly structured and dependable approach, with the capability to embrace ownership and drive financial processes independently.
Excellent communication skills with fluency in English; knowledge of Dutch is advantageous but not mandatory.
