As the Head of Membership, you will have several key objectives throughout your tenure:
Line management of a small team of two individuals, providing both leadership and support.
Work in collaboration with the new Director of Membership and Engagement to establish the team and their initiatives to ensure smooth operations.
Play a significant role in reviewing and redesigning the membership fees applicable to the region, which entails assessing existing structures and recommending enhancements based on market conditions and organizational needs.
Collaborate with global teams on the Graduate Trainee Programme, ensuring that the program meets its objectives and aligns with institutional goals.
Manage an audit of existing membership data, identifying areas for improvement that enhance the overall membership experience.
Review the onboarding process for new members, ensuring the member journey is smooth and engaging.
To qualify for this position, candidates must meet several essential criteria:
Extensive experience in membership management, demonstrating prior success in similar roles within nonprofit or relevant sectors.
Proven experience in team management, having successfully led and developed teams while managing budgets and targets effectively.
Excellent relationship-building skills are crucial, as the role involves engaging with members, establishing strong service frameworks that retain and attract members.
Ability to understand and work efficiently with a diverse audience from various cultures, demonstrating inclusiveness and respect in all interactions.
Willingness to travel both within the UK and internationally, including occasional weekends for major events and conferences.
