Role Overview

The Head of CRM is responsible for the strategic and technical ownership of Moniepoint's entire customer relationship management function. This role combines strategic insights with hands-on technical skills, particularly in Braze, the chosen CRM platform. Key Responsibilities

1. Braze Platform Ownership & Architecture

  • Maintain ownership of the entire Braze platform architecture, from campaign delivery infrastructure to SDK integration strategy.
  • Design and govern event taxonomy and custom attribute schemas, which includes defining naming conventions and data types.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to oversee Braze SDK instrumentation across web and mobile platforms.
  • Architect pipelines to route raw engagement data into data warehouses for effective reporting.

2. Lifecycle Marketing Strategy & Execution

  • Define a comprehensive customer lifecycle framework that encompasses all phases: acquisition, onboarding, activation, engagement, retention, and win-back.
  • Execute multi-channel orchestration using various messaging platforms, ensuring users receive contextually relevant messages based on preferences and history.
  • Develop behavioral triggers based on custom events that signal specific user actions to maximize engagement.

3. A/B Testing & Experimentation

  • Implement a robust experimentation program with clear hypothesis frameworks and appropriate metrics.
  • Use Braze’s A/B testing capabilities effectively to measure the impact of different marketing strategies.

4. ROI & Commercial Impact

  • Have ownership of CRM’s contribution to revenue through transaction volume uplift and product cross-sells.
  • Build frameworks for incrementality measurement to gauge the effectiveness of CRM-led campaigns.

5. Team Leadership & Cross-functional Partnership

  • Build and mentor a high-performing CRM team, while collaborating with various departments, including Data Engineering and Product Management.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Candidates should have:

  • 8 to 10+ years of experience in direct-to-consumer marketing, particularly within growth, lifecycle, or CRM functions.
  • At least 4 years in managerial roles, overseeing direct reports and managing cross-functional teams.
  • Proven experience in fintech, remittance, payments, or consumer banking is highly preferred.
  • A strong command of the Braze system, including detailed knowledge of its architecture, data models, and user identity management.
  • Familiarity with market-specific regulations and localization processes across multiple markets is essential.
