As a Financial Analyst in FP&A, you will:
Assist in building and maintaining financial forecast models that project Operating Expenses (OpEx) for BHG's parent company and its subsidiaries.
Create, analyze, and maintain annual budgets, identifying key differences throughout the budgeting cycle.
Analyze complex financial information to identify trends and opportunities and report findings to management for actionable decisions.
Collaborate with key stakeholders across different departments, providing robust financial analysis and support, including assistance to executives and departmental leaders.
Develop comprehensive financial models utilizing various reporting tools including Excel, Adaptive Insights, SQL, and PowerBI.
Perform variance analysis, evaluating actuals against forecasts, and assist with month-end financial statements.
Prepare standardized reporting packages, including materials for board meetings and business reviews.
Execute process improvement initiatives and engage in ad hoc projects as needed.
To be considered for this position, candidates should possess:
3-6 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial roles.
Strong quantitative skills and a solid understanding of financial modeling.
A Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics is required; advanced qualifications such as a CFA, MBA, or CPA are preferred.
Familiarity with U.S. GAAP is beneficial.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and common database systems; experience with Adaptive Planning Software, Workday, PowerBI, or SQL is a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective collaboration across ranks in the company.
Self-motivation and a strong work ethic, with the ability to manage multiple projects independently while maintaining focus on key financial metrics.
Strong organizational skills, with the capability to prioritize tasks and take accountability for outcomes.
