Key Responsibilities
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
Performing commissioning, replacement, preventive, and corrective maintenance on intelligent emergency lighting systems and central battery installations.
Diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues remotely and on-site, collaborating with specialized teams to provide effective solutions.
Identifying opportunities to expand service offerings and improve client operations while eliminating issues.
Delivering exceptional customer service using a “first-time-right” approach, ensuring tasks meet expectations and quality standards.
Preparing necessary materials, equipment, and parts; maintaining correct documentation and customer sign-offs.
Recommending corrective actions proactively to prevent issues from recurring and driving continuous improvement in operational processes.
Experience and Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates should meet the following qualifications:
Hold a minimum HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
Have at least 2 years of professional experience in maintenance, commissioning, or troubleshooting electrical installations. Experience with intelligent/emergency lighting systems is preferred.
Possess strong knowledge of electronics and be comfortable using tools such as computers, tablets, and Microsoft Office.
Demonstrate excellent customer service skills with a representative professional appearance, strong organizational capabilities, autonomy, and intrinsic motivation to thrive in dynamic environments.
Full UK driving license is required along with flexibility to travel across the UK and Ireland, which may include weekend or out-of-hours work.
Salary and Benefits
This position offers an attractive salary ranging from £45,000 to £50,000 per year, with the potential for a 15% bonus. Additional benefits associated with this role include:
