The position of Director of Technical Recruiting is critical to Flock's mission. The primary responsibilities for the Director of Technical Recruiting include:
Building and empowering a high-performing recruiting team: Create professional growth paths for team members and ensure team engagement.
Advising technical and operations leaders: Understand product roadmap and organizational structure.
Building the technical talent brand: Work on enhancing the candidate experience and collaborating with the Head of Recruiting.
Collaborating with the VP of Recruiting: Maintain a capacity model to meet business needs effectively.
Candidates for this role should possess the following skills:
10+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience with at least 5 years managing technical recruiting teams.
Strong analytical skills to communicate findings from data and establish program metrics.
Proven experience in guiding leadership on recruiting strategies and initiatives.
An empathetic leadership style with low ego and flexibility.
Excellent communication skills, capable of driving internal changes.
A commitment to building teams with diverse and inclusive practices.
Experience working in a fast-paced environment and navigating rapid scaling.
Flock Safety emphasizes results-oriented culture, integrating a 90-day plan for new hires. The first 30 days will involve gaining clarity on hiring targets, meeting stakeholders, and auditing current recruiting workflows. In the next 60 days, candidates will refine hiring profiles and enhance team culture, whereas from day 90 and beyond, focus will shift towards defining recruitment metrics and solidifying leadership presence across the organization.
