Position Details

As a Data Engineer at Betclic, you will become a part of a dynamic and agile IT team focused on building data transformation pipelines. Responsibilities

  • Participating in the design and development phases of data transformation projects.
  • Developing the entire data pipeline (ETL/ELT) within the Data Lake (Snowflake).
  • Building the Lake House and managing the Silver/Gold layers starting from the Bronze layer.
  • Automating the deployment of data pipelines using DBT cloud and CICD Jenkins.
  • Maintaining and evolving the proposed solutions and ensuring their operational efficiency.
  • Documenting project-related information comprehensively.

Technical Environment

The technical stack you will be working with includes:

  • Snowflake software for data storage and processing.
  • DBT Core/DBT Cloud for data transformation and modeling.
  • AWS as the cloud service provider.
  • Jenkins for continuous integration and delivery.
  • GitHub for version control and collaboration.

Qualifications and Required Skills

To be a strong candidate for this job, you should meet the following criteria:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an engineering or IT school, or Computer Science (MIAGE).
  • Professional Experience: At least 3 years of successful experience as a Data Engineer, Data Ops, or ML Ops in a Public Cloud environment.
  • Strong Development Skills: Proficient in at least one of the programming languages such as Python, Scala, or Java.
  • Automation Knowledge: A keen interest in automation (CI/CD) and scripting.
  • Adaptability: An eagerness to work in a challenging and dynamic environment.
  • Attention to Quality: A focus on performance, reliability, maintainability, and scalability regarding code and architecture.
  • Fluency in English: Strong communication skills in English, both spoken and written, are essential for collaboration with international teams.
