Required Skills and Experience

To qualify for the Credentials Associate position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years of credentialing experience in a hospital, health plan, or Credentialing Verification Organization (CVO) environment is mandatory.
  • Familiarity with roles such as Medical Staff Office Coordinators or specialists in the privileging Medical Staff Office is also required.
  • Certification as a Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) is preferred, showcasing expertise in this field.
  • Proficiency in Echo and/or CredentialStream Database Management is highly valued.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel is required.
  • A High School Diploma is a must, while an Associate Degree is preferred.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for the Credentials Associate position varies based on experience and has a broad range from $17.31 to $28.85 per hour. For applicants residing in Maryland and Washington State, the salary range is slightly adjusted to $20.96/hr. to $30.17/hr.
