Develop clear, concise, and engaging content specifically designed for rural audiences who may have varying levels of education.
Collaborate closely with the Research, Operations, Design, and Tech teams to produce instructional materials which include training videos, in-app instructions, and onboarding materials.
Work in conjunction with the Program Lead - Karya Learn to create educational content across various subjects, focusing on digital skills.
Ensure that all content is user-friendly, taking into account the limitations of lower-grade smartphone interfaces.
Maintain consistency in messaging and design across all content formats by working collaboratively across different teams.
Travel up to 20% to rural regions in India to gather insights that will help refine and adapt content appropriately.
To be a successful candidate for the Content Writer role, applicants need to possess certain skills and competencies, such as:
A minimum of 2 years of proven experience in writing educational and UX content specifically for rural audiences in India.
Previous experience with non-profit organizations or educational sectors is preferred.
Experience in UX writing for applications catering to Indian languages is an advantage, as is an understanding of content design for audiences with limited education.
Proficient in creating content that caters to smartphone usage, including familiarity with optimizing written content for mobile interfaces.
