Responsibilities of the Position

As a Technical Content Engineer, the following responsibilities will be expected:

  • Develop, write, and edit compelling technical content that emphasizes Vercel’s features and frameworks.

  • Act as customer zero, ensuring that content meets user needs and enhances comprehension of the products.

  • Stay updated with product details, trends in the industry, and user requirements to create relevant content.

  • Review and refine content as well as code examples for clarity and accuracy.

  • Coordinate with the Marketing team to manage projects and meet deadlines while contributing to Vercel's content strategy.

  • Share knowledge about new products and processes, leading initiatives that enhance content quality and innovation.

  • Report directly to the Director of Content and maintain collaboration within various cross-functional teams, including software engineers, DevOps, product managers, and leadership personnel.

Required Skills & Qualifications

For this role, Vercel requires candidates to meet the following qualifications:

  • A minimum of five years of experience in fields such as Technical Writing, Developer Experience, or other related roles that demonstrate a successful track record in creating impactful content.



  • Proficiency in web development, along with familiarity with frontend tools, specifically TypeScript, Next.js, and Vercel itself.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential, along with the ability to thrive in a team environment and contribute to a harmonious workplace culture.

  • Capability to quickly adapt to new domains, demonstrating a keen ability to break down and articulate complex concepts into easily digestible content.

  • Preference for a fast-paced, agile environment with a focus on getting tasks completed efficiently.

  • Exceptional project management skills, with the capability to prioritize multiple projects and their respective deadlines effectively.

  • A keen focus on the reader, ensuring that the content provided is both accessible and engaging.
