The Communications Coordinator role is integral to the Marketing & Communications team at Food Banks Canada. The individual in this position will work closely with the Internal Communications team to support the development and dissemination of communication materials to both internal staff and the Food Banks Canada network. Additionally, the role involves supporting the External Communications and Marketing teams to ensure all materials are effective, engaging, and consistent with Food Banks Canada's brand.
The Communications Coordinator will assist with various tasks, including:
Applicants should have a post-secondary diploma or equivalent in communications, marketing, or journalism and a minimum of 2 years of experience in communications or journalism. Bilingualism in English and French is required, along with strong writing and editing skills. The ability to manage time and projects effectively, along with strong technical competencies in WordPress, CRMs, Microsoft Office Suite, and Canva, is essential. The ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative, strong project coordination abilities, and the capability to work as part of a cross-functional team, exercising diplomacy and good judgment.
This full-time position requires working Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend and evening work. As it is a remote role, the candidate can be based anywhere in Canada, although occasional travel within the country may be required.
