Overview

Baymard Institute is on the lookout for a full-time, remote Content Marketing Manager to join its team. This position is critical to the organization's mission of sharing insights through a bespoke B2B SaaS platform that supports over 2,000 retailers, brands, and agencies across more than 80 countries, including a significant percentage of the Fortune 500 ecommerce companies. The company operates with a fully distributed team, consisting of approximately 60 members located in the United States and Europe, all committed to enhancing ecommerce UX.

About the Role

As the Content Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for the storytelling that connects Baymard's research and tools to users. Your primary goal will be to turn complex UX and product insights into clear and compelling narratives. These narratives will drive qualified demand, product activation, and long-term trust within the audience.

You will plan and create content across various formats—this includes long-form articles, landing pages, emails, and thought leadership pieces. While SEO will be a significant aspect of content distribution, it will not be the only goal of your writing. You will collaborate with teams from Growth, Product, and Research to help refine the editorial strategy and ensure that every content piece addresses real user concerns. The position seeks individuals who can balance search strategies with storytelling and product comprehension to create content that ranks in search results as well as resonates emotionally with the audience.

Who You Are

You are expected to be an exceptional copywriter and storyteller, capable of simplifying complex topics. With a strong foundation in SaaS, ideally in a product-led context, you understand user value, the importance of time-to-value, and how to encourage feature adoption through effective communication. Your writing approach focuses on user understanding—helping users grasp the product's relevance and value rather than just filling a content calendar.

Your proficiency with SEO fundamentals is important, including search intent, topic clusters, and on-page structure. You recognize that SEO is not merely a checklist to complete but a strategy that should evolve based on data and user signals. Furthermore, you may enjoy experimenting with new content formats, including videos and short-form social media content, thinking creatively about how a core narrative can function across different channels.

What You'll Need

To be successful in this position, you must meet several qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in content marketing or copywriting specifically for B2B SaaS.

  • A proven track record in translating complex products or research findings into clear and engaging narratives.

  • A solid understanding of SEO basics, including search intent, keyword research, content structure, and internal linking.

  • Experience creating content that caters to different stages of the funnel—from educational and problem-focused content to product-focused and conversion-oriented pieces.

  • A history of collaboration with Product, Growth, and Sales teams to develop content that meets user needs as well as business objectives.

  • Proficiency in using analytics tools (such as Google Analytics and HubSpot) to inform content direction and measure performance.

  • Full proficiency in written and spoken English.

Nice-To-Haves

While not mandatory, some additional experience can be beneficial:

  • Familiarity with digital PR and strategies to earn backlinks through high-quality research or content.

  • Comfort with video storyboarding—creating scripts for product explainers or educational videos.

  • Experience in generating short-form content for social channels like LinkedIn and X from longer pieces.

  • A background in ecommerce, UX research, or other related domains.

Practical Details

Location: This role is 100% remote. The successful candidate must be located within the EU, UK, or Ireland and be available for daily overlap with European time zones.

Salary: Salary is based on qualifications and is negotiable.

Start Date: The position is available as soon as possible.

Travel Requirements: Travel is limited to 1-2 weeks per year, typically linked to company-wide meetings.
