The Quality Assessments Division of Smithers is actively looking for skilled professionals to fill the role of Automotive IATF 16949 Auditor. Role Responsibilities

In this capacity, the Automotive Auditor has several core duties which encompass:

• Conducting audits to evaluate compliance with both ISO9001:2015 and IATF 16949 standards.
• The development and execution of comprehensive audit plans and reports.
• Assessment of client facilities to determine conformity with industry standards.
• Evaluating various documentation, processes, and procedures to ensure they meet required criteria.
• Identifying non-conformities and proposing areas for improvement.
• Maintaining accurate and appropriate records throughout the auditing process.
• Submission of expense reports and other critical documentation related to audits.
• Ensuring maintenance of acquired auditor credentials.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Prospective candidates are expected to meet certain qualifications and possess specific skills. These include:

• Possession of IATF 16949 Auditor credentials (third-party certification) along with a valid IATF certificate number. If you're not yet certified, Smithers offers support for you to achieve your credentials.
• Interested applicants should be qualified to perform ISO 9001 Audits and have completed a minimum of six ISO 9001 audits in manufacturing environments, with at least three of these having served as an audit team leader.
• Knowledge of automotive Core Tools is essential.
• A minimum of four years of practical experience in relevant fields, with at least two of those years dedicated to Quality Assurance or Quality Management activities in an automotive manufacturing setting that complies with IATF 16949 standards.
