Developing testing-related documentation including test plans, test cases, and bug reports to assess both quality and risk.
Collaborating with the automation group to automate features for improved regression coverage.
Triage and assist with the triaging of automation results to streamline testing processes.
Deepening product expertise and conducting QA tests while adhering to specific timelines.
Working closely with software engineers, product managers, and other QA testers within an Agile team environment.
To be a suitable candidate for this position, applicants should have:
A Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or a similar field.
Coding experience in Java or mobile development languages.
An understanding of software QA methodologies and tools, particularly in environments with short release cycles.
Relevant educational or practical experience in software development and/or software test automation.
Strong curiosity and the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
While not mandatory, candidates with the following additional skills will have an advantage:
Experience with frameworks like Cypress.
Familiarity with SQL and object-oriented programming languages such as Java or Python.
Knowledge of Atlassian products like Jira, Greenhopper, and Clover.
Understanding best practices in software development and experience in Mobile Testing and Automation.
Familiarity with Mobile App Development for platforms such as Android/iOS.
The compensation for the Associate Quality Engineer position ranges from $65,000 to $140,000 CAD. This salary range complies with local regulations and is aligned with individual qualifications, experience, and expected contributions. In addition to the base salary, this position may also be eligible for other forms of compensation, including variable bonuses and/or stock options.
