Role Responsibilities

As the selected candidate, you will engage in several critical tasks essential to the infrastructure development and quality assurance process. The Associate Quality Engineer will:

Understand the architecture of Vault infrastructure to thoroughly test infrastructure changes using AWS/Kubernetes/Docker.

Setup, maintain, and enhance the infrastructure test environment, ensuring it is reliable and effective for testing various scenarios.

Contribute to the development of testing strategies for essential features like zero downtime upgrades and high availability.

Prepare comprehensive documentation related to testing, including test plans, test cases, scripts, and reports; which will assess overall quality and risk levels.

Facilitate quality assurance activities such as test execution, bug verification, and automation result triaging, ensuring successful outcomes throughout the development lifecycle.

Utilize your programming skills to optimize the testing processes for cloud-based infrastructure.

Continuously improve the existing automation framework and testing protocols to maintain high-quality standards.

Participate in technical discussions to influence design and implementation decisions, thus fostering a culture of quality from inception to delivery.

Assist in onboarding, mentoring, and guiding junior team members and fellow quality assurance professionals.

Liaise closely with product managers, software engineers, and other QA engineers to facilitate smooth project execution.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess key attributes and qualifications required for this role. The essential qualifications include:

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

Experience with white-box testing or Infrastructure Validation, including deployment, high availability, and recovery strategies.

Familiarity with cloud infrastructure technologies such as AWS EC2, S3, DynamoDB, SQS, and load balancers is crucial.
