Understand the architecture of Vault infrastructure to thoroughly test infrastructure changes using AWS/Kubernetes/Docker.
Setup, maintain, and enhance the infrastructure test environment, ensuring it is reliable and effective for testing various scenarios.
Contribute to the development of testing strategies for essential features like zero downtime upgrades and high availability.
Prepare comprehensive documentation related to testing, including test plans, test cases, scripts, and reports; which will assess overall quality and risk levels.
Facilitate quality assurance activities such as test execution, bug verification, and automation result triaging, ensuring successful outcomes throughout the development lifecycle.
Utilize your programming skills to optimize the testing processes for cloud-based infrastructure.
Continuously improve the existing automation framework and testing protocols to maintain high-quality standards.
Participate in technical discussions to influence design and implementation decisions, thus fostering a culture of quality from inception to delivery.
Assist in onboarding, mentoring, and guiding junior team members and fellow quality assurance professionals.
Liaise closely with product managers, software engineers, and other QA engineers to facilitate smooth project execution.
The ideal candidate will possess key attributes and qualifications required for this role. The essential qualifications include:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
Experience with white-box testing or Infrastructure Validation, including deployment, high availability, and recovery strategies.
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure technologies such as AWS EC2, S3, DynamoDB, SQS, and load balancers is crucial.
Proficiency in at least one programming language, including Java, C#, JavaScript, Python, or Bash/Shell.
Demonstrable experience in developing automation strategies for infrastructure.
Strong capability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with potential conflicting priorities.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to aid collaboration and documentation.
Experience with additional tools and technologies, such as:
Data Analytics & Reporting tools like ELK Stack, Cloudwatch, Prometheus
Configuration Management platforms such as Ansible, Terraform, Chef, CloudFormation.
Version control systems like GitLab or GitHub.
Experience using unit/functional test frameworks (like JUnit, TestNg, Cucumber) is advantageous, along with familiarity with Atlassian products such as Jira and Confluence.
Preferably, candidates who have experience in a SaaS environment with agile development processes will have an additional edge, especially with respect to health sciences and life sciences sectors.
