The position being offered is for an Associate Director of Strategy within the Vault Clinical Operations team. This role is instrumental in managing business and market-facing aspects of the Vault Clinical Operations Suite, focusing on growing market share and retaining customers among Enterprise and Small & Medium-sized Sponsors and Contract Research Organizations (CROs). In this role, the Associate Director of Strategy will undertake the following responsibilities:
Develop a strategic plan for accounts across various segments.
Spearhead the strategic direction of sales and retention for the account portfolio through effective meetings and presentations.
Provide thought leadership and support to sales teams to drive performance.
Assist with the development of product strategy and messaging specific to segments and opportunities.
Engage in high-level discussions with prospects and customers to better understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
Coordinate resources from pre-sales through to post-implementation to ensure sustained customer success.
This role requires a combination of strong consulting and leadership skills. Candidates must have:
Approximately 10 years of work experience, with a demonstrated transition to a SaaS provider.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a top Strategy/Management Consulting firm within the Life Sciences sector, ideally at an Associate Partner or Principal level.
At least 2 years of proven experience in business development.
The ability to work autonomously and a strong international background (having lived and worked abroad).
Native-level fluency in English is required, alongside proficiency in German, French, Danish, or Dutch.
While not mandatory, several qualifications can enhance a candidate's profile:
Over 3 years of experience working with CROs.
A comprehensive understanding of clinical operations processes.
Experience in selling or implementing SaaS software.
Previous use of Veeva products.
Demonstrated involvement in industry presentations or publications.
Strong skills in project management.
