Responsibilities are categorized into four key areas:

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team comprising Google Ads specialists, including account managers, strategists, and analysts.
  • Set clear Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and conduct performance reviews.
  • Foster a culture emphasizing accountability, experimentation, and continuous learning.
  • Recruit, onboard, and retain top-tier talent in paid search.

Strategy & Execution

  • Own the Google Ads Profit & Loss (P&L) for the department, ensuring campaigns for SMB clients are profitable and scalable.
  • Develop frameworks for account structure, bidding strategies, audience segmentation, and creative testing aligned with SMB client budgets and goals.
  • Oversee various campaigns, including Search, PMAX, Display, YouTube, and Remarketing for both B2B and B2C clients.

Client & Commercial Growth

  • Act as the senior point of contact for resolving complex challenges faced by SMB clients.
  • Identify potential upsell and cross-sell opportunities in collaboration with other ALM Corp services, like Analytics, Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO), and SEO.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to establish pricing and margin targets for Google Ads services focused on SMBs.

Innovation & Process

  • Stay updated with the latest Google Ads product developments and trends in AI-driven automation and privacy-focused measurement changes.
  • Develop scalable workflows, quality assurance processes, and reporting dashboards to enhance team efficiency and client transparency.
  • Promote a culture of experimentation, allocating budgets for research and development initiatives.

Required Skills

Candidates must possess a robust set of qualifications, which include:

  • Extensive agency experience is a must, demonstrating a strong background in a digital marketing setting.
  • A minimum of 7 years hands-on experience managing Google Ads campaigns.
  • At least 3 years in a managerial role, ideally overseeing a team of more than 10 people.
  • Demonstrated success in managing American SMB accounts across multiple industries.
  • Profound expertise in Google Ads tools and platforms, including Google Ads Editor, Google Analytics 4, and Looker Studio.
  • Strong skills in improving Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) and Cost Per Acquisition (CPA), increasing account scales, and retaining client revenue.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present effectively to business owners and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

While the aforementioned skills are essential, additional preferred qualifications may include:

  • Google Ads certifications in various areas, including Search, Display, Video, Measurement, and Shopping.
