Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with Marketing stakeholders to identify critical business questions, perform in-depth analyses, and translate findings into actionable, data-driven recommendations.
  • Working with Data Scientists and Engineers to enhance marketing measurement tools.
  • Partnering with the Finance team to calculate LTV and ROI.
  • Developing and utilizing marketing measurement methods like A/B Testing, MMM, and MTA for assessing marketing initiatives.
  • Creating and implementing machine learning and statistical models for customer analytics.
  • Influencing and partnering across engineering, design, and business teams to instantiate data-led enhancements.

Candidate Qualifications

Aspiring candidates should possess over five years of relevant experience, proficiency in SQL, statistical languages, and marketing tools like Google Analytics. Skills in building data pipelines, crafting dashboards, and database structures are also necessary. Successful candidates will be super organized, self-managing, and capable of effective communication with various stakeholders.

Compensation and Benefits

Mercury offers a competitive total rewards package which includes base salary, equity, and benefits. They maintain up-to-date salary and equity ranges to attract top talent. For this Marketing Data Scientist role, the base salary ranges are set at $203,100–238,900 USD for US employees and CAD 184,800–217,400 for Canadian employees, with variations depending on experience and location.
